Exercise | M.Sc. Felix Schulte | LSF | Moodle |
Course of Study: Master Elektro- und Informationstechnik / Master Sustainable Energy Systems
Module: ETIT-220 (Module Book)
Title: Design and Operation of Electrical Machines
Study section: 3rd Semester
Credits: 5
Attendance rate: 35 h
Self-study: 115 h
After successfully completing the module, students will be able to design, evaluate and modify asynchronous machines and synchronous machines using the appropriate tools. They understand why and how magnetic fields arise within a machine and are able to calculate them. They will be able to classify different types of machines and their areas of application. They will also be familiar with different materials and their areas of application in electrical engineering.
By completing the module, students should also be able to recognize and incorporate the challenges of today's and future digital societies and thus assume social responsibility. In the field of asynchronous and synchronous machines, this includes, for example, raising awareness of socially relevant topics such as age and technology or the circular economy and sustainability.
Module Exam: oral exam (max. 40 minutes) or written exam (max. 180 minutes)
The examination can be taken together with the module ETIT 283 (Electrical Drive Systems).
Successful completion of the lab course.
